About Us
The story, the people and the work behind You & Me Foundation.
A global non-profit working across eight countries.
You & Me Foundation exists to kindle peace and happiness in the lives of many, helping people at the time of disaster and dilemma and enriching human lives by standing for human rights, equality and justice.
What started as a handful of people helping neighbours has grown into work that crosses borders. The belief stayed the same: when a family is in trouble, someone has to show up. We try to be that someone.

Active FundraisersOver the years our volunteers have stood with families through floods, conflict and everyday hardship. Little of that work makes headlines. Most of it happens quietly: a ration kit, a school fee paid, a hospital bill settled, a child back in class. This is the shape of what we do.
When conflict or natural disaster strikes, we respond with food, water, clothing and shelter for children and families, and we stay on after the news cycle moves on.
Ration kits, clean water, clothing and a roof for families who would otherwise go without.
Medical care, hygiene and sanitation support, and steady, patient care for the sick and the elderly.
Learning centres, scholarships and stipends that keep children learning, including refugee children who would otherwise be left out of school.
Skill development programs that help women and young people find work and stand on their own feet.
Standing against child labour, abuse and exploitation, with financial and legal aid for people who have nowhere else to turn.
Founder

Dr. Hashim Rifai is the founder of three non-profit organisations: You & Me Foundation, World Refugee Support and Edutrainers for Refugees. Through them he has spent years standing with refugees, with families in war-torn regions and with underprivileged communities, work that reaches eight countries.
The work is practical. Relief for families hit by disaster and conflict. Learning centres where refugee children get a real chance at school. Schools and skill development centres for communities that are usually left out, from tribal villages to city slums and coastal settlements.
Behind all of it sits a long career in education. He holds doctorates in Education and in Linguistics, with masters degrees in law, education, linguistics, philosophy and business administration. He has trained teachers at some of India's most respected institutions and led two teacher education colleges as principal. Those decades in classrooms shaped how he gives: for him, education is the solution.
